Von Rhapsody ist definitiv alles empfehlenswert.
Kommt drauf an, was du lieber magst... etwas ruhiger, etwas schneller, viel Text oder wenig.
Mit der Band hat es halt etwas Besonderes auf sich:
Sie erzählt eine Geschichte, die sich von der ersten CD hinzieht bis zu dieser, die den letzten Teil darstellt (Legendary Tales - Symphony of Enchanted Lands - Dawn of Victory - (teilweise) Rain of a thousand Flames - Power of the Dragonflame - und schließlich zum finalen Legendary Tales II  The Dark Secret). Daran allein kann man erkennen, dass es ein sehr episches Werk mit sehr viel Fantasie ist. Die Musik dazu kann man sich sehr ähnlich vorstellen.
Im Grunde ist es eine Metal Band, allerdings kann man sich nicht ohne Weiteres bei den anderen einordnen. Denn zu dem Repartoir gehören neben den "klassischen" Dingen wie E-Gitarre, Schlagzeug und Keyboard quasi ein ganzes Orchester und Chor. Will heißen, die Musik wird genial ergänzt von Violinen, Geigen, Flöten und was der Dinge mehr sind.
Im Ganzen kann man das meist als bombastisch oder halt episch beschreiben.
Der Sänger hat eine gute, angenehme Stimme (also kein Grunt) und wird des Öfteren von einem Chor ergänzt. Manchmal gibt es auch einen Erzähler. Die Sprache ist meist Englisch, es kommt aber auch vor, dass ein Lied auf Latein oder Italienisch gesungen wird.

So, im Anschluss ein paar Empfehlungen, dann eine Liedtext:
Unholy WarCry  -  von Symphony of Enchanted Lands II  -  Eher schnelles Lied mit langsameren Passagen, Sänger, Chor und Erzähler
Dragonland´s Rivers - von Symphony of Enchanted Lands II - Eher ruhiges Lied mit wechselndem Tempo
Wings of Destiny - von Symphony of Enchanted Lands - Sehr schönes, ruhiges Lied
Dawn of Victory - von Dawn of Victory - Schnelles Lied, wo man sehen kann, dass trotzdem klassische Instrumente passen

Ich weiß gar nicht, wie ich hier aufhören kann, weil einfach alle Lieder genial sind.
Aber zwei Dinge noch: 1. Hört die Lieder einfach LAUT
2. Wer auf den Geschmack gekommen ist: Symhpony of Enchanted Lands - auf Symphony of Enchanted Lands... mein absolutes Lieblingslied. 13 Minuten epische Musik vom Feinsten.

vom text her und den anderen informationen wird das wohl "white" metal sein. aber chor und eguitarre sind für mich nicht zu verbinden, das gefällt mir nicht (ich mag auch blind guardian etc. nicht)

chor mag ich nur gerne in bestimmen verbindungen (allen voran: carmina burana)

aber imho ne geile sache mit der fortführenden geschichte, von sowas habe ich noch nie was gehört.

ok mein nöchster liedtext (die besten texte sind imho von dismember, aber ich will die gruppe nicht nochmal nehmen) wird dann auch nochmal kommen.

ich habe auch in die gruppen reingehört, die du vor längerer zeit mal gepostet hast. aber ist halt nicht so ganz meine richtung alles.
so mein lied. wieder von dismember, aber ich finde den text vollkommen genial. jedenfalls das, was ich verstehe, denn einige dinge sind mir nicht klar.
